Dolores Gonzalez, 85, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. Dolores (affectionately known as Lola) was a devoted member of her church and cherished the time she spent with her family. She loved naps, traveling, dancing, gardening and IHOP. She was a former school bus driver who loved her work. Known for her warm heart and unwavering faith, she brought joy to all who knew her.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Garza Gonzalez; parents, Louis Gonzales and Mary (Madrigal) Gonzales; daughter Diana Menendez; son-in-law Roger Romans.  Left to cherish Dolores' memory are her children, Jesse Gonzalez and wife Lorena, Ray Gonzalez and wife Laura, Hector Gonzalez and wife Sarah, and Laura Romans; son-in-law, Hector Menendez; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and many beloved family members who will miss her deeply. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to have known her.

 

A Memorial service and visitation will be held for Dolores on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. (5530 Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581) Her family will be receiving guests from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, with the service commencing at 5:00 pm.
