Obituary of Pearl Pauline Fitzmorris

Please share a memory of Pearl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pearl Pauline Fitzmorris passed away on Sunday, October 20th, 2024, in Pearland, Texas, at the age of 99. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Meyer and Edna (Votaw) Meyer; husbands, Leonard Fitzmorris and Stanley Dorch; son, George Dorch; brothers, Roy and William Meyer; and sister, Nellie Meyer. Left to cherish Pearl’s memory are her grandchildren, Lauren Dorch husband Terry Groves, Christie Kasparek and husband Adam; great grandchildren, Madison, Meredith, Maren, Luke, Callan, and Camryn; and a host of many other family and friends.

Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was deeply loved by not only her family and friends, but her church family who cherished her as well. Her fierce independence and quirky personality always kept us on our toes. Her elaborate stories from her life and past experiences, though often embellished, were captivating and brought laughter during our times spent together.  She was rarely seen without her signature lipstick and perfectly styled perms, which became a hallmark of her vibrant personality. Pearl had an avid green thumb and enjoyed tending to her garden/yard and in later years her many house plants. Hosting family dinners and holidays gatherings/meals were meaningful events for her and always memorable. Pearl will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
