Obituary of Laurie Garner Anderson

Please share a memory of Laurie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Laurie Garner Anderson, III, 62, husband of Tanya Anderson, of Pearland Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

Born on April 26, 1962, in Augusta, Georgia, Garner was the son of the late Laurie Garner Anderson, Jr. and the late Lou Henderson Ellington.  After attending high school in Augusta, GA, Garner went on to be a jack of all trades working in several fields.  He found his passion for selling cars and spent many wonderful years as a car salesman at Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland, TX.

Garner had the gift of gab, and he never met a stranger.  He was charismatic, charming, and had a witty sense of humor.  He lived big and loved bigger.  He found so much joy in hosting and entertaining and serving his signature drinks.  Garner was a history buff, and an avid reader who loved expanding his knowledge; as he would say “I know a little bit about a lot of things.”  Garner was a skilled craftsman and carpenter who loved making Tanya’s ideas come to fruition.  Garner involved music in every aspect of his life and had an extensive knowledge and eclectic taste in his music library.

Garner is survived by the love of his life, Tanya, his daughters Meghan and Kristen, his son Garner IV, sisters Marian, Beth, and Margaret, grandchildren Sofia, Sergio IV, and Maya, and many wonderful friends.

A celebration of life is to be held Sunday November 3rd, 2024, at 3101 Ashton Park Drive, Pearland, TX from 1-4pm.  It will be an informal, open-house, come-and-go gathering with appetizers and drinks.

In lieu of flowers, please come and share a story about our beloved Garner.
