Ed, I don’t know how you did it but you made life look easy. I’m still trying to figure that one out.
I’m finding it difficult to believe you’re not with us anymore and I never wanted to grasp the reality of what was happening these past few years of your life. I’m sad but I know you’ve left a wonderful legacy beyond measure for all of us.
We shared so much over the last 45 years, you’ve always been a close dear friend of mine and I’m thankful for that.
Our conversations were always fun, full of laughter and sometimes serious, we covered everything…our love of German cars, politics, our careers, who made the best chainsaw and what we were going to do when we got old. We talked about our children and how we both miraculously found incredible wives that love us. I always admired that your family, faith and friends were a priority to you too.
You never failed to make me laugh every time you asked me if I had been promoted and put in charge of the mop buckets, that never got old Ed and I’m laughing about it right now.
Our plans for a Hawaii trip together never did happen but I’m comforted knowing that you’re in a place far more beautiful.
I’m gonna miss your laugh, you’re keen insight and true wisdom on many things, I might even miss listening to you quoting every single USC football statistic known to mankind. I’m pretty sure the only reason I know that Ronnie Lott played for USC is because you’ve told me 1000 times. Lol.
Ed your friendship has made me a better person.
I love you buddy and I’ll truly miss you. ❤️

I’ve been thinking about what to write and the same thought comes to mind every time. It was Fabi’s graduation party (I think from high school) and you gave a speech about how she was the only niece that would greet you right away with a hug. After that night, I made it a point to do the same. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to do it enough and I’m sorry if you ever felt left out. Thank you for being a sweet and loving uncle to me. I love you and miss you.

Dear Gloria , I thought of you and Ed often over the past few years. You both fought hard and with a positive attitude and a love for the Lord. I admire you both for that. I know you will miss him so much and your children their Father. He loved you all very much and it showed in his hard work and devotion to you.
Remember the good times and put aside the sad ones. Lean on your children and your friends. I know you have a strong faith and I pray that comfort for you.
Love Laurie Potter

When Ed joined MD Anderson I found we had a kindred spirit in his love for the University of Notre Dame and all things fighting Irish. We will miss Ed and the value he brought with his talents to our engineering team.as he had an abundance of "front-line" experience in all things plumbing he was would share enthusiastically. Eternal rest grant unto Ed, O lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Ed rest in peace. Amern

Q: What will you never forget about Edward?
A: My Uncle Ed was probably one of the kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He always took me in during the summer months and put up with our crazy shenanigans around the house. I remember him adding another room to the house (Laura's room) and taking sneak peeks into it while he worked. My Uncle gave me one of the most precious things in my life that is my dog, Willow. Every time I look at her I think of my Aunt and Uncle and I am so grateful to them for it. Ed was a kind, patient and loving Uncle. He will be missed so very much by so many people. I have no doubt we will see each other again one day. Love you Uncle Ed, we will see you in Heaven.

Edward was a person with great Faith and he loved his wife Gloria & children immensely. He was a man of many talents and quite the hobbyist of distinctive collections, which was something unique to see displayed all around the house. Every time we visited or hung out with Eddie, Gloria, & their children, we always felt right at home and always welcomed. We are extremely grateful that Eddie was so willing to share his family with us, since we did not have children of our own and we will forever remember the various events or activities that we shared together throughout the years. May Eddie’s spirit be with God and may he be in eternal peace. Our hearts are heavy with great sorrow but our love for Eddie will never be forgotten. We miss you and luv you extremely beyond measure.

Edward was a man who truly loved his wife and children. I identified with him because he loved the finer things in life. He loved his cars, and working with his hands. He stayed true to his heritage and was a good catholic boy. We both had a great love for Germany and I wish I had had the chance to travel with him there. I can just hear him say, “Let me tell you about Germany!” over a nice warm German beer. Rest In Peace my brother! I love you and will always remember you!

My Husband, My Life, My EVERYTHING!.
I will always have so much admiration for you.
With your example you inspired us to be the best at whatever we touched. You showed us what hard work and dedication looks like, you taught us to love and to love hard, you taught us to be faithful because with God all things are possible.
Your last words "Always Put God First" will forever be imbedded in our lives.
You expressed yourself with music.
Our song "Trying to hold on to my Woman" will always be played in our home; the home you built for us.
You are my forever! I'm so lost without you!
I love you! I miss you like crazy!
Rest in Peace my Husband.
I will see you again ...
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
