Shy, is a man that if you were fortunate enough to call him friend you were very lucky indeed. He is a very special soul that is now on to its next test. For his loving heart was the biggest part of this man’s life. Family and friends meant more to him than anything else, well except a good “toddy for the body”. He was passionate about life. Shy’s, was a warm light that glowed brightly and drew people to him. He lived life to the fullest. He had his faults as we all do, but they are not easily remembered. I can only find memories of a warm loving friend, who will be forever missed!!
I send all of you my thoughts and prayers!

The life of our beloved Sailesh masa, who was truly a humble, kind, and good-hearted person.
His caring nature extended to both his family and friends, and he touched the hearts of so many with his willingness to help whenever it was needed.
Personally, I will always be grateful for the courage and guidance he provided me during my stay in New Orleans.
His mentorship was invaluable, and his wisdom and kindness will stay with me forever.
Masa’s legacy will be one of kindness, and he will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
We will miss him dearly,
but we take comfort in knowing that he has found peace in heaven. Rest in peace, Masa.

Q: What will you never forget about Shailesh?
A: Shy was kind, funny, full of what the Cajuns in Louisiana call: Laissez Le Bon Temp Roule (Let the good times roll) outlook on life. I met Shy & Smita, Shyam and Ram when my son went to Lake Castle in New Orleans, and then at Martin Marietta. My son Brandon thought Ms. Smita was the best cook and loved the food at their house. Shy was the best boss I ever had in my 42+ years there. I will miss you, my friend and I offer my condolences to Smita, Shyam & Angeles and Ram & Sonal. Terry

Smita and family,
Shailesh and I met in 1973 in Philadelphia. We had common interest of dancing and he was the core member of our group we called "Indian Artists Group (formed in 1974). Between 1974 and 1978 we performed several show together, including two TV Programs and participated in front of 26000 people celebrating Bicentennial year at Philadelphia Civic Center. He choreographed several dances.
He was a good man, fun loving, and honest to friends. He loved to play teen patti and enjoyed drinks. We had great time when he was in Philadelphia and in our community activity.
He will surely be missed by many including our close-knit grroup from last 50 years or so.
Our condolences to all of you. He will surely be missed.
May his soul reach eternal peace. Aum shanti.

I met Shailesh for the first time when I visited USA for the first time with a drama tour. Philadelphia was our base since our national sponsor Ashok Chotai was from Philadelphia. we were staying with Suchi and Girish Vyas.. we met him there. The very first meeting and we clicked. He was warm hearted and full of life. The incident which I will never forget was this. One day he came and said that there is a huge discount sale at a place which was some 70 miles from where we were. My colleague Mahavir Shah wanted to go so ever obliging Shailesh said " Let's go buddy." And before we could say no, off they went. He had fractured his left hand had a plaster. How was he going to drive the car? What would happen to them and prayed that return in one piece. After couple of hours they returned smiling. When asked how did he manage to drive the car with one hand? ( Mind well at that time the cars had gears) without blinking he answered I was controlling steering with my right hand and Mahavir was changing the gears. He was fearless and advanturous. I again met him after 40 years at Houston. He was the same old Shailesh. Warm hearted and fearless and superb host. Buddy I would never ever forget
you.Alvida mere dost alvida.
