Obituary of Patrick Osakpase Osayande Jr.

Patrick Osakpase Osayande Jr., 38, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022. Left to cherish his memory are his father Patrick Osayande Sr.; mother, Esther Osayande; and sisters Maryann Osayande, and Miracle Osayande.

Patrick was born on May 15th, 1984, in North Bergen, New Jersey, and relocated with his parents to Houston, Texas in April of 1991. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston, and a chemical processing certificate from San Jacinto college. After the Covid pandemic and seeing the impact health care workers make in people’s lives, he decided to change his career path and pursue nursing. He was in the process of starting the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Patrick was vivacious, and he will be remembered for his loyalty to family and friends. He always kept in touch with them and remained very close with friends he had known since childhood. Patrick was selfless, honest, and blessed with a beautiful soul. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Patrick was compassionate and had a work ethic and integrity that were unmatched.

A voracious reader, Patrick loved to learn new things. His room was filled with bookshelves full of books on a wide range of subjects. Patrick had a photographic memory which meant he could always carry a conversation on practically any current issue or topic. He also enjoyed inventing new recipes and cooking for others, listening to music, and working out. Patrick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Patrick will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Clayton Funeral Home, in Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am. The funeral service is scheduled at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Garden Cemetery, in Pearland, Texas. The reception will follow the interment at New Hope Church - 288 Campus, 3640 County Rd 58, Manvel, TX 77578
