Our sincere sympathy goes to all the Tostado Family for the loss of both of your parents. We have many fond memories of visits to the farm for some of Mrs. Tostado’s fabulous queso fresco. When Mary Queen Catholic Church was still meeting in a tiny house in Friendswood some of the Tostado sons and daughters shared some beautiful interpretations of Parables in our Sunday School classes. Mr. Tostado presented a session on a career in ranching. Your family has been in our prayers through the Viet Nam war and family illnesses. You have done many things to make your family and our country very proud of you. Now you have two more advocates in the Communion of Saints to cheer you to carry on their honorable tradition.
With love,
Bob & Mary Ellen Ried

Carmen and Daniel were a blessing to all of us. Heaven is rejoicing and I’m sure the Blessed Mother welcomed Carmen because of the beautiful way she recited the rosary daily. We will miss them and the many stories they told of the past. You are in my prayers.

Our deepest sympathy to all the Tostado Family. Your parents were our dear friends for many years. What a loss for all of us! We will forever cherish the memories spent at Rancho Viejo with them. They had many stories to share with us over a glass of wine or a shot of tequila along with Carmen’s insisting we partake of her wonderful cooking and conversing with their son Jose & their nephew Francisco. We went to the rodeo with them and to visit their many many friends in Houston. I am sure that is what they both wanted not to be left by themselves when the other one was called by his maker. Les acompanamos su pesar a sus hijos, hijas & nietos y que En Paz Descansen Carmen & Daniel Tostado.

This is what Carmen and Dan would have wanted I am sure. Carmen and I spent some great times laughing and trying to talk inspite of the language barrier. We used words and hand gestures but she usually had to call one of the children to translate. We always managed! Carmen was a lovely lady and always looked so youthful. Her wonderful hot tamales could not be beat! I treasure the years Of knowing the Tostado family. Our prayers and love to all. The Beers
