Obituary of Norman Travis Key

Norman Travis Key, 83, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Agnus Key Sr. brothers, Monroe Key, Bill Key, Wayne Key; sister, Thelma Fread; Left to cherish her memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Valeria Key; son, Jeff Key and wife, Emily, daughter, Debbie Kime and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Cody, Travis, Matthew and David; and a host of other family and dear friends.

 

Norman served as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed teaching his kids and grandsons how to repair just about anything. He lived by the bay and enjoyed sailing. Norman and his family would travel in their RV as much as possible. His work took him to many countries. He retired from Brown & Root after 30 years of service.  Norman will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.

 

Services for Norman will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 816 Park Dr., La Porte, Texas 77571.  The visitation will take place from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with the Memorial Mass following at 11:00 am with Father Tony Castro officiating.
