Obituary of Lillian Vaclavik Young

Lillian Vaclavik Young, 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.  She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hermina Vaclavik, brothers, William and Emil, sisters, Viola, Albina, Laura, and Emma. Lillian is survived by her sons, Glenn A. Young and wife Betty Jo Young and Gordon L. Young; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Lillian was a Bowler, a Gardner and a dancer, especially the polka! Her real passions were photography and genealogy. She was an officer in the Czech Heritage Society. Lillian made two trips to Czechoslovakia in search of the family roots. She did family trees the old fashion way before it could be done on the internet. Lillian was a baseball fan, especially the Astros. Her love of the “Cougars” came from 20 years of service at the University of Houston.  Lillian is and will be missed by many. 

Services for Lillian will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am with a Rosary recited at 10:30. The funeral service will follow beginning at 11:00 am.  Following the funeral, interment will take place at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
